WWI Question Please help!?

The Treaty of Versailles was actually used by Hitler to explain how the winning powers had joined together to keep Germany from being it's own nation. Germany was not allowed to attend the conference in Versailles, they were just presented with the treaty and told to sign. The League of Nations, President Wilson's hope for an end to future wars, was supposed to act as a World Court to help settle disputes between nations before they went so far as to use military action against each other. Obviously, it did not work.
