Swimming Pool Shocked & Still Murky?

My chlorinator got unplugged the other day by mistake, so the pool turned green kinda quick. So in turn I shocked it overnight, added a dose of this salt stuff that's purpose is to extend the life of the cell reducing scale build up (I cleaned it also) and balance/stabilize the water. Before I did all that, I topped off the pool with what little water it needed to replenish, I also backwashed the filter, then added the chemicals. I came out this morning, and it's still murky, I dunno what else I can do. I can't see the bottom of the pool as good as i'd like to, could the shock have caused the cloudiness, i don't have any test strips at the moment.
